Synopsis:
Lindsay looks and acts like the perfect fifteen year-old, but she’s hiding a dirty little secret that no amount of fashionista coverings can make better. Telling her mother her step-father is molesting her is not an option. Trying to kill herself again haunts her more than the scars on her wrists, and pretending to be perfect at school might very well drive her over the edge.
Megan knows all about lying. It’s been part of her life ever since she realized the only way to escape her poverty-stricken neighborhood was to work hard, keep her mouth shut and wear a mask no one can penetrate. All that changes when Lindsay befriends her.

Can two girls who have little in common discover the value of a real friendship or will the secrets they dare not speak destroy them both?

Keeping Up My Way
It’s only fitting that I talk about the pressure many writers face to keep up with the rest. I try to stay away from this. One year I tried to produce three 100,000 novels and it almost killed me. Worse, it made me start to hate writing. I quickly realized that trying to keep up has to be defined by me.

Like many writers, I juggle lots of other commitments. I’m a mother to four children and I volunteer my time with a number of local non-profit groups, at my children’s school and my church, oh I also manage a paddling club. Just writing that made me tired – lol. Writing for me has always been my passion and it’s also therapeutic.

I write what I want to write. I set my own deadlines and I do like to set annual goals. I try to write every day at least five pages, and some of that is blog writing, marketing or editing. I don’t sweat the small stuff anymore and try my best to see the big picture. If I write five pages a day that’s a 150 page book in a month. If I get behind in my writing schedule my hubby is very understanding and helps me escape my life to go away and catch up for a bit.

Keep up with your own goals. Keep up with your passion and your writing will show its love.
